Warner Bros. has paid low- against mid-six figures for the drama/comedy "Crazy School" from first-time writer Andy Lieberman as a starring vehicle for rapper-actor LL Cool J.
The project reteams LL Cool J with the studio that produced the last two films in which he appeared -- "Any Given Sunday" and "Deep Blue Sea." The project will be the first under Alan Riche and Tony Ludwig's newly formed production company Eagle Cove Entertainment (formerly known as Riche/Ludwig Prods.). The company was created last fall with rock-act manager Carl Stubner and indie producer Josh Woodward.
"Crazy" reteams LL Cool J with "Deep Blue Sea" producers Riche and Ludwig. Described as "Dangerous Minds" meets "To Sir With Love," "Crazy" tells the story of a teacher (LL Cool J) who lands a job teaching the teens at Bellevue Hospital's "crazy" high school.
